Darryl Turpin begins by explaining how advertising techniques lead consumers to think that using a particular product will enhance well being, image, intelligence and sexuality. “Marketing myths” like these lack substance and do nothing to improve our lives. Yet many people have bought into them and use them as the “myths of alcohol and drug addiction.” One by one Turpin tackles these myths and addresses not only the financial cost of addiction, but the loss of family, lack of education, poor employment skills, criminality, and emotional or spiritual bankruptcy that often characterize the addict’s life. This thought provoking video will make the addict think about the price paid for addiction and set them on the path towards positive changes.
