Over 2,500 methamphetamine addicts have been treated with The Matrix Model, a 16-week Individualized Program. The revised and expanded Matrix Model is an evidence-based intensive outpatient program that is backed by over twenty years of research and development. It is proven effective in the treatment of methamphetamine addicts. It was recently tested in the CSAT Methamphetamine Project. Development of The Matrix Model was funded in part by NIDA and evaluation was funded in part by SAMHSA/CSAT.
The comprehensive, multi-format program covers six key clinical areas: individual/conjoint therapy, early recovery, relapse prevention, family education, social support, and urine testing.
The flexible individualized program can be completed in 16 weeks or extended up to 12 months, providing adult clients with the structure of an inpatient treatment experience on an outpatient timetable.
The Matrix Model comes with a therapist’s manual, reproducible client handouts (also on CD), stickers for tracking alcohol-and drug-free days, and a research CD. It also includes a 12-week family education component with lecture notes and handouts and three DVDs (Triggers and Cravings; Road Map for Recovery; Families in Recovery).
The Matrix Model for Teens & Young Adults, and The Matrix Model For Criminal Justice Settings are also available.
